Desire to Take a Deep Breath - Post-exercise
Post Body

Hi everyone,

I've been a lifelong asthmatic, but I don't believe that I have my asthma fully under control. I take a single puff of symbicort before bed at night (lowest possible dose), and don't take any other steroid. I still very rarely need to take my blue inhaler during the day, UNLESS I do exercise.

For example, yesterday, me and my partner were getting intimate for about 20 minutes, and afterwards I felt a bit out of breath but nothing terrible. Fast forward to yesterday evening, I spent most of day having periods where I didn't feel I could get a full breath, and ultimately, this didn't fully dissipate until I took a puff of Symbicort at 22.30 last night.

Another example - if I were to go to the gym and do cardio at a slow pace for half an hour, I think I would really struggle unless I took my blue inhaler beforehand (which I do). Should this be the case, or should I be able to exercise without a blue inhaler?

I don't take symbicort in the day, because it definitely seems to cause panic attacks and I'm not 100% sure why.

I get really anxious that there is something wrong with me. I do also suffer from acid reflux (I'm not medicated), and I have a deviated septum which can make breathing out of my nose very difficult.

Happy New Year everyone, and will appreciate any of your advice!
