I don't understand the politics in Africa and this might be a very naive question but as the United States citizen it's blatantly obvious that the West just does not care about what's going on in Sudan. It's not that we're heartless people. The media is not covering it and people are already wrapped up in two major conflicts.
My question is why are other countries in Africa not stepping up and deploying their military into Sudan to protect the citizens? Is there a political reason they're staying away and allowing the conflict to reach the levels of a possible genocide?
