[Lab Animal] Rodent Euthanasias

Hello vets, I was wondering if any vets knew of papers or articles that discuss euthanasia in the presence of other animals.

I've always been told not to do it due to the stressful impact on the animals that remain after euthanasia, but I have not been able to find anything that specifically delineates this or discusses it.

I am currently doing a summer lab animal fellowship and have noticed that alot of cervical dislocations will often happen in the housing rooms or in clear view of the remaining animals that will stay alive from the home cage of the mouse intended for euthanasia. I am just curious about the impact on them.

The only thing I have found was an IACUC document from MSU with one sentence saying not to euthanize animals in the housing rooms.
