Is it better to have two different types of thermostats for your house??
Post Body

Currently have Salus thermostats split across 3 underfloor heating zones.

House is 3 stories and have 3 spare thermostats, I was looking to split 1st floor in to two zones and loft into its own by using Smart TRV valves.

My plumber is suggesting selling the spare thermostats on eBay and using a different thermostat/trv valve system upstairs ‘just incase’ my Salus system goes down.

I'm thinking that we would save money (in a way) by using what we already have and being able to control everything from the same app. What would you do? Would also welcome advice from plumbers!
