[TLOU2] Why didn’t Ellie shoot Abby at the end?

She still had a gun from her fight with the Rattlers. why did she choose to cut her up with her knife, and after dropping in the water she just went for fisticuffs. It would have also been fitting that she did to her what she did to Joel by shooting her kneecap. She may not have been there when Abby shot his leg but it’s highly likely that Tommy told her how it went so she would know how it went down.
