I’m really glad you recognized the potential for a problem and removed the stimulus. That’s truly incredible.
I had a similar experience with oxy. I was given it after I had a laparoscopy to check for endometriosis and remove an ovarian cyst. I certainly needed it for the first couple days, and then only took it at night. My mom was taking care of me and she asked how many I had left about 5 days after my surgery. I said 2 and she suggested I call and ask the doctor for more because once I got back to work I might start experiencing some severe pain. So I called and asked for “a couple” more, like maybe 5 at most. They gave me another prescription for FIFTEEN. 15 oxys. Once I went home I told my boyfriend to keep track of them for me because I felt myself falling into a routine and becoming very attracted to how relaxed they made me feel at night. Good on you for being careful with those opiates. It’s a serious problem.
