Heart racing?

When I go through periods of bad depression and anxiety, such as now, I wake up very early in the morning (usually around 4:30am) with my heart racing and feelings of anxiety. Is this something mirtazapine could/should help mitigate? Or do I just need to take a PRN when I wake up and hope for the best?
