I'm currently building a 3D printed 6x12 film camera and it will use a large format 65mm f/5.6 lens with lens cones. These are calculated using the flange distance for the specific lens to fix the focus at infinity. That said, I'm still somewhat confused on this.
Say I want to focus on something closer to me and maybe 10 feet away, how exactly could I use a DOF calculator to tell me this? My question might be more related to how to read a DOF calculator but I'm not sure if they take into account focusing of the lens.
So let's take some numbers then maybe someone can explain it to me, remember that the lens is fixed at infinity:
Focal Length: 65mm
Aperture: f/5.6
Distance: 10ft
Depth of Field: 7' 9.4"
Near Distance: 7' 5.3"
Far Distance: 15' 2.7"
Hyperfocal Distance: 28' 6.1"
For these numbers, does it mean that everything from 7'5.3" to 15'2.7" will be in focus or since my lens is fixed, can I only use the hyperfocus distance?
