Are there parents out there who didn't struggle during baby or toddler stages?

Post Body

I'm not a parent but my brother recently had a baby and he is 6 months in and finding it extremely difficulty to the point of tears. He and his wife are a good couple in terms of communication, extremely good financial resources, very flexible work arrangements and parental leave for both. They get a bit of help from my parents and occasionally a nanny.

I see so many posts on r/parents who say the baby stage and/or the toddler stages are exhasutingly difficult. This concerns me while I think about having kids as my own. My partner sort of dismisses that it will be hard because she has heard one or two stories of babies that slept all the time and it was no issue.

I'd like to know how common that is, and maybe to see if the people who post on subreddits are usually the ones having the hardest time rather than the easiest time.

Tl;dr

Please tell me stories from parents who had no issues during baby or toddler phase. Why was it so easy? What were the conditions?
