Why is "being passionate about your job" so important to women?
Post Body

before the flood of "go ask women" comments, i'm specifically interested in men's theories on this.

when it comes to dating, in my experience, it seems that it's not enough to earn a good (or even great) income, be competent, and work hard. you now also have to love your job and be "passionate" about it. 20 yrs ago, we were just expected to have a good job but now we also have to looooove it as if we're all playing centerfield for the Dodgers.

men dont have that requirement for women but i've seen it constantly come up for men and i can't figure out why it's such a borderline deal breaker. it's like a basic requirement now; "kind, smart, funny and has friends and a job he loves"
