I've been back on dating apps (Bumble and Hinge) for a couple of weeks now after I was off them for a couple of months. I have some ground rules set up that keep me saner. I would say that most of my matches have not messaged me, whether that's not sending the first message on Bumble and then expiring, or not replying to my message on Hinge. What gives?

Edit (Feb 20 9:15 pm CST): After reading through these messages, I've decided to delete my Hinge since nothing was happening there. I still have my Bumble since I'm going to go on a date with one woman later this week. If that falls through, I'm going to delete Bumble. I also deleted all of my possible dating app profile pictures so that I'm not tempted to remake my profiles, even though it will be tempting to when I move to another neighborhood in this city in the summer
