My truck threw a code for a faulty camshaft sensor and would run really rough to a eventual stall. I replaced said camshaft sensor and now the car cranks but doesn’t start. I assumed it was a faulty part so I exchanged it and got a new one days later. Installed the new one and ran into the same problem; cranks but doesn’t start. So I decided to try putting in the old defective one and this one starts but still throws the code and also runs rough until stall.
So far I’ve got my battery checked and it was good, the alternator is good, and the starter is good (just replaced a year ago)
Any help would be appreciated
UPDATE: CRANKSHAFT SENSOR, not Camshaft. My mistake
UPDATE: part came in, installed OE sensor and she starts! Guess gen 2 tundras don’t like autozone sensors
I don’t think there is on my model. Did some searching online and even looked into a repair manual for my year/make/model and it doesn’t mention reprogramming it. But the part I used wasn’t a OE part so I ordered one that is and going to cross my fingers and hope it recognizes that one
UPDATE: crankshaft sensor not camshaft, my mistake.

New sensor is installed, Code is cleared and she runs! Guess she didn’t like autozone brand parts?
