Any Jeep dealership mechanics in the house? 3.6 head ticking issue and just outside extended warranty.
Post Body

Hello and hope there might be a Jeep dealership in the sub Reddit or anyone familiar with car manufactures making exceptions to extended warranties.

I have an early 2013 JKU rubicon and I have had a loud ticking noise and oil leak coming from the right side of the motor when sitting in the vehicle.

Well come to find out this head issue is very well known and Jeep extended the warranty for this issue to 10 years or 100k miles. I just passed my 10 year point six months ago with 50k miles.

I have an appointment to take my Jeep in to be looked at and was wondering if I have a chance Jeep head quarters may make an exception or any recommendation to try and get an exception if it is the head issue.

It’s been ticking for awhile and it’s more then ticking it’s kinda raspy and just got sound to it but I know that doesn’t count. I was hoping maybe low mileage might give me a shot at an exception? Does it matter if I am a good customer and have baught 3 new jeeps over the past few years?

If not covered any idea what I am looking at for repair cost?

Thanks so much
