Strange fear of police cars (not police, police cars)

Post Body

So, I have light sensitive epilepsy, and whenever a police car (ambulances too) are driving near me I have intense anxiety and sometimes panic attacks that require me to pull off the road.

The only lights that have ever rapidly triggered a seizure in me while driving were police lights. So my question has 2 parts.

  1. What should I do to alleviate my anxieties, even someone else getting pulled over can set me off.

  2. If I get pulled over (hasn't happened in 5 years) I have no choice but to keep my eyes closed for the duration of the pull over, how can I convey that to the officer, follow up question, what if I pull over, but have a seizure as a result of the lights (I usually have about 2-4 minutes between noticing it is about to happen and it happening) but sometimes the officer sits there for a bit before coming to talk to me... This is a source of great anxiety and I don't know how to handle it. Will they think I'm on drugs or something if I seize? I've never seen myself in that state, so I don't know what might happen.
