What was the position of different Orthodox Churches regarding the existence of magic during the late medieval and early modern periods?
Post Body

I've read a bit on the positions of the Catholic Church and various protestant denomination regarding whether magic was real (whether it actually gave the user power), and how that played into the witch hunts. But it struck me that I've never heard anything about the position of the Orthodox Churches on this matter during the period. I understand there were a variety of Orthodox Churches and variations of opinions within them, so feel free to answer to whatever extent you feel comfortable, but I'm interested in whether different orthodox churches believed that magic "worked", and how serious a sin/crime it was. Thanks!
