Hi all,
I'm hoping this is the right forum to ask this but as the title says how do you meet fellow feminists in the real world?
I only really started considering myself a feminist around a year ago and since then I've done a lot of reading and lurked on this and other similar subreddits but I find myself longing for more.
I talk about it with friends and family but they aren't as passionate about it as I am so the conversation is either very surface level or I can tell they get bored if I bring it up too much. I'd even love to have someone to debate issues with as I do believe being challenged on your opinions helps formulate your thoughts and encourages you continue learning.
I'd love to build some friendships with people who share my passions and beliefs as well as get involved in any groups which I could contribute to (e.g. I've asked to join my workplace network which works to ensure gender equality within our organisation but I've not had any further details yet so I'm looking for other ideas as well).
I guess I just feel quite alone sometimes as no one around me shares my passion. Does anyone else feel like this?
