Howdy All,
I am working on repairing one of those Sandhopper beach carts where they use the Dynamic Dr90-A01 mobility controller as the speed regulator (among other things). The thumb throttle (which is a 5k potentiometer spring loaded with a plastic handle) has failed and in my stupidity i broke the spring and a bit of the retaining plastic that holds the spring tension against the handle. So now i am trying to figure out a suitable replacement throttle. Ideally i want to use something cheap and easily replaceable.
I have a spare ebike throttle - one of these from Amazon:
SCHUCK E-Bike Thumb Throttle 130X,Waterproof Accelerator,22.2mm/0.87in Handlebars,Left/Right Universal Bicycle Conversion Replacement Parts
But i know that the controller requires a 5k pot and i think those ebike throttles use some sort of hall effect. Some of this is a little new to me so please excuse my ignorance :)
Does anyone with vastly more experience than me know of a way to retrofit an ebike throttle onto the Dynamic Dr50/90 throttle high/low/wiper pins?
I really appreciate any help and suggestions that you may have!!!
Thanks,
Martin
