I work in one of the Big 4 accounting firms, an industry that historically has always been stable. The past year, all four have done either mass or silent lay offs. I’ve been looking for a new job for the past two months been applying everyday and I’ve only had 3 interview invitations so far out of the bajillion i applied for. 2 of them ghosted me. How can some economist still say that in actuality “unemployment is doing fine”. Respectfully, you must be so out of touch from the reality of the job market right now.
