Male 29 years old 225lbs stopped smoking marijuana in March, stopped drinking alcohol in February had endoscopy and colonoscopy because I had Hpylori, I had one small stomach ulcer Wich they treated and chronic moderate gastritis, with colonoscopy I had infectious enterocolitis and they found 3 polyps tubular adenomas with low grade dysplasia sizes of polyps were 0.3cm, 0.6cm, 0.6cm my question is if polyps were removed to they always grow back ? Are they always cancer or do they always turn into cancer ? My pathology report is at the bottom.
SUBMITTED MATERIAL: BIOPSIES OF ILEUM AND COLON MACROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION: Three containers with formalin are received, labeled 1) colon, 2) ileum and 3) colon polyps, each containing multiple fragments of nodular tissue, which together measure 0.6 x 0.6 x 0.3 cm, are light brown in color and soft consistency. They are fully included as follows: 1) colon, 2) ileum, and 3) colon polyps. MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION: Histological sections (1) show fragments of colon mucosa with eroded superficial epithelium, in the lamina propria there is a slight inflammatory infiltrate of mononuclear and polymorphonuclear cells, which extends to the glandular and superficial epithelium, without altering the glandular architecture. The histological sections (2) show fragments of the superficial mucosa of the ileum where the villi are preserved, in the lamina propria edema and a slight increase in the lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate are observed. In the histological sections studied (3), fragments of colonic mucosa are identified whose superficial epithelium shows a tubular configuration, the glands present few goblet cells, nuclear stratification and mild atypia. DIAGNOSIS: 1.- BIOPSIES OF COLON POLYPS BY COLONOSCOPY: - TUBULAR ADENOMAS WITH LOW-GRADE DYSPLASIA. 2.- ENDOSCOPIC BIOPSIES OF THE ILEUM AND COLON: - WITH MILD ACUTE AND CHRONIC INFLAMMATION, COMPATIBLE WITH INFECTIOUS ENTEROCOLITIS
