Sinus infection? Cold?

Hello,
About two days ago I began to feel like there was something between my nose and throat and felt the urge to “suck” out my sinuses (for lack of better term for this). Yesterday I blew my nose and suddenly felt the urge to suck and spit and out came some blobs. Today the same thing happened, but the blob is bloodier than yesterday. My face and head hurt so I’m assuming this is a sinus infection? Do I need to see a doctor or will it pass on it’s own?
