Hello, I've just turned 21 not too long ago and I was told that I should be getting a Pap smear after I turned 21 so I did. I got a call yesterday telling me that I have abnormal cervical cells and I'm really worried... I don't really know what that means... I googled it and saw that many women that had abnormal cervical cells got the colposcopy or even a biopsy but they just told me that I should go in for a Pap smear next year and if that one is normal, I should go in again the year after.
Should I try going somewhere else and get another Pap smear done? The lady on the phone going over the results with me just said it could be your diet affected it so I'm just super lost... I feel extremely worried and they told me they don't test for HPV until 25 years old. I do not know how worried I should be because I don't know if this is the real precancerous type cell or something small like I ate something weird and it offset the test... and I also told my partner and he cannot get checked for it either... I don't know what to do. Any advice?
