There were great cinnamon bear claws at the grocery with dark brown gooey fillng about 15 years ago. But now, I can only find almond bear claws, and some brands that don't fit the bill.
I have resorted to making my own bear claws at home.
But, I can't get it right, in terms of the filling. I added almond paste today, and that was delicious and sweet. It's just not the precise flavor, color or texture I am looking for.
Does anyone have a recipe that results in the very dark brown soft texture filling? Bear Claw Recipe
