Is it wise to cut your hair during a Mercury retrograde?

My hair is currently a little shorter than shoulder length and I’m just tired of dealing with it. I had planned to shave it all off on new years as a way to symbolize a new beginning and leaving behind things which no longer serve me and all that jazz. Then I realized that we are coming up on a Mercury retrograde, so I’m wondering if I should plan to do it this week instead! Normally I wouldn’t worry about it but this will be a pretty bold and drastic change for me.
