I think most would agree that r/AskHistorians is one of the best things on Reddit, possibly on the entire internet. Not every question is answered, but when they are, the answers are in depth, high quality, and cite their sources.

Here, it's much patchier, and to be honest I see a lot of posts that that seem rather race science-adjacent, and an increasing number of comments from obvious non-experts making questionable claims, and from trollish types saying that anthropology is wokeism and should be abolished.

Are there things we can do to move in a more r/AskHistorians sort of direction? I realize a lot of the answers might involve asking more of the mods, who are already volunteering their time. I'd be interested in participating in a solution.
