Domestic Cats - Should they be banned?

Hello my fellow Aussies,
I was reading this article about how a Perth Council meeting called to amend state laws and hand cat management powers to their local council. They want to ban domestic cats from areas in the City due to their destruction of Native Wildlife.
We'll be discussing this is detail this Sunday for Australia Talks, but I wanted to open this up and hear what more Aussies have to say.
