I know so many people have theories and we don’t really have any super solid info but I have my own theory—2 of them actually. I’ve seen people say they don’t think Asha never left the house etc but I think she did, I just don’t think it was planned. I remember learning about how strict her family was and that they didn’t have a tv or computer (not sure how true this is) but I feel like something sinister was going on within her household.

Theory #1 - Something about her father seems off to me (I hate to blame but I feel it in my spirit). In the interviews I’ve seen, he doesn’t really talk much and I just don’t get a good feeling. The whole story about him going to get candy just seems like a premeditated alibi. I think maybe something happened that night in the house and maybe Asha left because of it and the father left the house to search for her and she was met with foul play. Yes she was only 9 and that’s a very young age to run away but it makes sense if you’re being harmed or something happened in your home and you feel like you have no other choice. That would explain the sightings of her from the truck driver and church members. I also think that he threw her book bag at a later date and had it wrapped up because he wanted to preserve her things. I don’t think the father was smart enough to do this on his own though so I think he had help from the wife to cover things up. I’ve seen people say he could have had help from other people but I doubt anyone else that’s not family willed agree to that.

Theory #2 - Still similar to the first theory because I do think something was going on within the home but maybe Asha shared this information in confidence with someone she trusted at school and they offered her support and lured her away somehow and told her to meet them somewhere and they never showed up and she was met with foul play.

I really wish we knew more about her life and what her cousins think because from what I’ve read her grandma lived across the street and she went to a sleepover with cousins the night before so I want to hear what their thoughts are even though I don’t think we ever will smh

I’m torn between thinking she’s no longer with us and having hope because no body has been found but either way I hope she’s at peace
