Advice on open relationship (m4m)

Post Body

A little backstory:

We have been together for nine years, since our early 20s. We are relatively stable and comfortable, drug free and some light drinking.

Lately we both have been really interested in adding a second top to our relationship. But it’s become kind of a unicorn hunt.

Ideally, we would like to find someone who would want to live with us, or at least stay over often. We feel like quite a lot of men are single or end up not hooking up because of all the catfish and flakes. So it would, at least in our minds, be an ideal situation for a man in between relationships. To have a regular spot to go to take care of business. Or friends to hang out with and go out on the town with.

Granted, we live in Northwest Arkansas. Not exactly a gay Mecca though more so than anywhere else for a long way in any direction.

We have had a couple of one night stands, but it seems like most men idealize one on one connection over casual intimacy. Are we just thinking about this wrong? It feels like polyamorous relationships are common online, are we just approaching it wrong?

Looking for opinions or thoughts, advice etc. we are both mostly masculine fit guys who individually never have an issue finding a sexual encounter.
