How do i achieve Australian Archery medals?

Hello fellow archers!
I started archery in June 2013 and still loving it. Bought my recurve set up and slowly adding and upgrading it, I have a Hoyt recurve with SF limbs. I stopped around end of September and picked it up last Saturday (18-1-14). Now that it is the new year my goal is to claim 5 medals (AA or non-AA) in the year, the only problem is I don't know where to start if I'm qualified/skilled enough. I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences how you claimed your archery medals!
