I just realized today I probably have this and its really freaking me out a bit. I know its not a big deal because I was fine before I knew but its just extremely shocking and upsetting.

Is this why I never dream or if I do i never remember it? When I try to think of a scene or a person, I know what it looks like but I can't visualize it like a photo in my head- does this make sense? Like for instance when I try to visualize my mom, I see floating head, not much detail and only one expression and kind of faded- is the aphantasia? Like do people really not see a wall of black? cause i see black and then an idea or peices of what it is I'm suppose to be seeing. Can I know what something looks like in my mind but not visualize it? cause thats what it feels like. I also suck at remembering things and faces. like if i think of a red triangle- I know what it should look like in my mind but i can't see it picture clear, does this make sense? I thought knowing what it looks like was seeing it... but its not the same apparently.

Can anyone with verified Aphantasia verify, that what i see/dont see is me having this disorder?
