My experience as an Aphant and discovering late at life that I can actually draw.
Post Body

Early on my life I couldn’t consider myself an artist. As I was just unable to produce original imagery, or else. When I tried practicing off from a reference I would get called a cheater, and my art wasn’t really art, but unoriginal copies.

You know what? Fuck them all. Every single one of those down-keepers and sun slippers. I started drawing just 4 months ago, and turns out I do great. Not an expert but I love what I do.

It’s not about the result, but my biggest satisfaction is being stupid happy while enjoying the process. I swear I love seeing something come up to life after thinking i could never.

Don’t fucking let others or even you, get in the way of shit like this.

We are aphants, not artistically handicapped.
