Post Body

Hi, I could really use some advice on what action to take if anyone has any knowledge/experience in this area. I am disabled and live in an apartment complex for elderly/disabled people. I moved in 7 or 8 months ago. Moved from my last place because it was so busy and noisy all the time. Lots of partying, etc. I have a really hard time with noise. This place has been great because it is so much quieter. However, it is almost impossible to get the landlord, management company, or even emergency maintenance to return a phone call. So for a few days I was hearing some odd scraping noises coming from the heating vents. A couple nights ago I finally discovered there are birds trapped or living in these vents. They started going crazy in there. Squeaking, tweeting, flapping around, scraping against the metal vents, etc. It is SO loud. The vents are in a utility closet that is connected to my bedroom, so this is all happening about 10 feet from my bed where I sleep. They started going crazy at about 10pm. I called management and emergency maintenance multiple times. I have video evidence of the noise. No one will call me back. I have not slept in 2 nights, and it's already having a drastic effect on my mental health. I feel trapped and am not sure what to do. I'm hoping the landlord will be here in person on Monday and that I might be able to speak to her, but they are never clear when she will be here and even when she is here it is hard to track her down. Does anyone have any advice or know what I should do? I live in Missouri if that matters. Thanks.
