I got into a relationship with a guy from my work place 5 years ago. We had the best time for 2 and a half years until I found out that he was cheating on me for 1 year. I met the girl, we confronted him. (Now I didnt go down the spiral of oh may be she is prettier than me cause I understood his reasons; the girl was an only chidl, working at a reputed organisation, was bold and outgoing but nice, didnt take alot of crap though. Basically he thought he got lucky cause the girl was slightly out of his league). He tried to beg both of us individually to keep atleast one of us. The other girl agreed and they got together. (It was a LRD situation for them). Since he and I used to work at the same place, it became really difficult for me to get over him, and we ended up sleeping together. We then made an agreement to continue this arrangement until our work contract ends in 2 years. We had the best time, it wasnt just FWB, we were very close, used to talk for hours, go out for dinners. As close as people can get. So close that I used to wonder when does he even get time to talk to this other girl. (I know what I did knowing he has a gf is horrible and I have great remorse for it)
Now our work contract has ended and so has our arrangement, I said bye, but he is very devastated, says he misses me and isnt with happy with his gf though he cant do much about it their families are very seriously involved. He legit cries infront of me.
My question is How can he have a girlfriend whom he loves yet cry for anothe person? What does he feel for me? Why does he cry when it was his own choice to keep her and not me?
TLDR; Why does my ex cry for me and says he is devasted without me when it was his own choice to cheat on me with a girl who is currently his gf?
