To start off, I’m a 20 year old gay guy in Canada.
I’m short (5’0”) and nerdy so I’m already a little bit awkward and shy and easily intimidated.
I tend to flinch and get scared easily, and even talking to guys causes me to freeze up and forget how to talk.
However due to past negative experiences I don’t really have much confidence talking to guys. I feel like they’re just going to want to jump into bed right away.
The problem is if you tell a gay/bi guy that you aren’t ready for that just yet, they take it as total rejection.
I don’t even know how to be confident anymore because I feel like I’m a total letdown for somebody. :(
