As per usual, sorry about my redditiquette, I usually come to Reddit as a last resort, which means I'm not here regularly enough to not look potentially stupid.

Now that that's out of the way, I just found out today that unlike games previous, there are no months wherein the player is at no risk of running into either the Tarantula or Scorpion. This is honestly the biggest let-down I could have gotten, as I am incredibly arachnophobic, and there has not been a single time in any Animal Crossing game they were in that their appearance did not make my heart skip a beat.

I usually would only play City Folk or New Leaf with my gates open during summer nights to prevent their spawn, but I have found no such luck in New Horizons, until another player shows up. So as a last ditch effort, I wanna know if playing Couch co-op (one system, two save files) would prevent their spawn. I can't seem to find any results one way or the other, seemingly out of lack of interest/attempt. I'd test it myself, but it is currently 2:30am, and I figured maybe someone who may already know could see this, and possibly respond in the time it takes me to sleep.

Once more I apologise if this has already been answered, I have terrible luck when I try to search Reddit for such.
