Battery Consumption / Unable to Charge Huawei Watch 1 w/AW 2.0

After updating to AW 2.0, battery fully discharged w/in 18 hours (usually gets about 36). When I put it on the charger, it powers on again after 10-15 minutes, but it's not charging as fast as it's consuming, so it powers off again after a couple more minutes. Now it's stuck in this infinite loop of not being able to charge.

Tried powering it off manually once it powered up, hoping to get a full charge with the watch powered off, but it still automatically powers itself on again after a few minutes on the charger. To all intents and purposes, my watch is currently

Submitted a ticket with Huawei, no response, yet.

Trying to turn on airplane mode to hopefully improve the charging / power consumption ratio to be in my favor on the charger.

Any other ideas? Anyone else seeing this problem?
