I'm going to call my doctor on Monday, but thought I'd see if anyone has any thoughts.
I have grade 3/4 internal and external hems, have for quite some time. When the fissures started is impossible to tell, but I had botox in May. Almost 3 months to the day symptoms began again, not that they completely disappeared, but the improvement was drastic. I switched surgeons and the new one said I had a fissure based off the pain from inserting his finger. I had just started dilation with my finger and he said not to if it hurt - pffft, I kept doing it and I think it's the ticket!
I've had ONE single moment of major blood since. I bleed with poos still, but 9/10 is from dabbing/wiping.
I can't believe the pain and blood I was living with before... I fully qualify for a hemerroidectomy, but the surgeon said 2nd botox first... I just... don't think I need it? I need PT and a hemerroidectomy... I've never called a surgeon to discuss/ see if I still need the surgery, and it's scheduled Friday!
Edit to add for clarity: the botox is for fissures, he won't do a hemerroidectomy til after fissures are taken care of.
