Hi all, so my godmother lives in Denver and said she is free while my train stops there and offered to take me out to the Mercantile fining and provision. I would love to catch up over a meal but also obviously don’t want to miss getting back on, so I would only want to suggest something more fast if that is the only way. Do you think I have time for Mercantile?
For some extra info, the schedule currently says we’ll be in Denver from 6:38-7:10, but I don’t know how accurate those specific times are as we’re pulling into Winnemucca over an hour late.
Update: So the train did end up arriving in Denver over 4 hours late, and my godmother was able to make it and bring me some sacks from Hornets rather than eating out! I guess this is another post advocating for being flexible on Amtrak, I thought I’d be home in the afternoon but I’ll be lucky to be able to grab a dinner in Chicago 🥲
