Amani Kingdom. History Volume I
Author: King Falquador
The Dwarfish Amanians, as cunning as the snakes from the Desert of their origins. Tanned by the merciless red sun of the desert unlike their light and lesser brethren in the North. Like the desert sun, at their best: vigorous and bright, at their worst: obnoxious and sanguineous.
The precise origins of the Amanians is shrouded in mystery. Clear however is that they share connections with the Dwarves of Moria and the Dwemer of Arcis. Legends tell of the Old World, filled with lush forests and ore-filled mountains. For reasons unknown the Dwarves had to flee this world.
The voyage killed many. The Dwarves unkown at sea traveled for months, finally reaching the New World. Their journey however was not at an end for they had to survive the barren desert. With their love for architecture and delving ore they started their first outpost. They named it Melux.
Melux: Anew or Beginning
The Dwarves called themselves Amanians after their first Dwarf King: Aman the First. After many years of thriving from the gold the desert had to offer, the Amanians, led by King Falquador, went further inland. The rumours of mountains filled with diamonds, emeralds and iron inspired the Amanians for this new journey. The loyal Amanian and newly titled Duke Dew stayed behind to make sure the outpost would remain active and intact.
After a long and hard journey, through deserts and forests, the Amanians saw it for the first time. An enormous mountain fully covered in snow. Frightful for the average mortal, but for these Dwarves nothing would be more appealing than a mountain of this size. The impressive mountain, also known as Badum among the people, was surrounded by a thick forest as well as peaceful plains. Underneath it the Amanians established their capital city and named it Bazardum.
Badum: Large; White.
Bazardum: Gigantic; Impressive.
