WIBTA for lying to my parents to avoid possible infection spread?
Post Body

Context: I work part-time at a Kelsey's near me as the dishwasher. Company policy is that every employee must take an antigen rapid test at least two shifts a week on-site, and anyone with obvious symptoms will likely be turned away regardless of test results. Since I work weekends, that means I need to take a test both of my shifts.

Context 2: My direct family (my sister, myself, my parents and my cousin who lives with us) all track where we all are. I can see where they all are, they can see where I am, etc. It's not due to a lack of trust, it's mostly just a fallback for finding our phones if we've lost them, but it will show everyone if someone is or isn't where they say they are.

The Issue:

My dad apparently came home with a cough a couple days ago from work. At this point, he and my mother have become rather sick (figuratively) and bitter about the whole lockdown/pandemic, and has become rather dismissive about possibly spreading the virus. He didn't tell us about it until last night, so nobody knew but him. Recently, I've developed a similar cough.

I've told both of them that if this cough persists until my next shift, I won't be allowed to work, especially in light of the new variant. They recommend that I just take some cough suppressors and work anyway. They won't listen to me when I say that it isn't fair to everyone else, especially those that have second jobs. I am thinking of driving to the area near my work so my phone's tracker says I'm there, but not actually going into work to prevent possible spread, calling in so my Manager knows what is happening (he's a rather chill guy about that sort of thing). WIBTA for doing this?
