Okay so some background info the situation (situation started Aug 2016) the person is a former co-worker. I had a personal watercraft, boat, that was in fairly rough shape and was about to leave the country to go to study for a year. I made an arrangement to sell this boat to someone that I worked with, we will call him Larry. Well me and Larry came to an agreement since I wasn't exactly strapped for cash at the time that he could just pay me monthly payments of ~$100 a month for the year I was gone until it was paid off. Well first month came no issues, hadn't heard from him since. He hasn't blocked me on any media and I have reached out upon several occasions to inquire about any further payments to no response. Come about 4/5 months ago I get a message from someone on Facebook, Larry had sold the boat. he hadn't done anything with it, it was in worse shape than before and he got less than we agreed for it. I'm about to move out of the area and honestly was just reminiscing about my time and remembered it and wondered if there was a resolution. Of course I doubt I have any legal grounds as there was very little documentation, mostly just a well known verbal agreement; he stayed with the business we both worked for a time while I was gone and everybody knew about both the situation and also knew he never paid me for it.
Tl:Dr WITBA for posting on the public part of someone's Facebook page trying to resolve a money dispute that I've tried to solve privately while being met with no response
Side note I've seen the man in person twice, unprompted was told he had the money he owed me and the second he avoided me completely.
