So to start this I must say I (18F) am a lesbian. My best friend of almost 5 years (16M) is a gay guy. We have been eachothers rock for the past five years and i can really call him one of my best friends.
So, we have a weird humour and often jokingly fight with eachother while laughing. Sometimes he's gonna call me something "offensive" and sometimes i will do the same to him, but we both know we are joking and we don't actually mean to hurt eachother. So basically he would often call me some made up insults directed to lesbians specifically. I wouldn't care i would just simply start laughing. However, when i would call him a "Tw1nk", he would get mad and start attacking me for calling him that word and telling me how I, as a lesbian, am not allowed to say that word. Honestly, I never thought of that word as something deep, especially since a lot of gay men call THEMSELVES "Tw1nks". I would tell him how its really not that deep. I would, from time to time, say that word again, and each time, he would make a scene. Honestly, i am trying to stop saying it but i had a lot of gay friends and that word has entered my vocabulary and i cant just.. erase it in a day?
My question is, is it really that deep or is he just starting fights for no reason.
Also i should add the fact that he is not a guy that fits the "tw1nk" category. He is a jacked, 6'2 masculine guy.
