AITA or is my aunt the asshole?

Post Body

Today I went to my cousinā€™s birthday dinner. Beforehand, I took a year break from any communication with my aunt as she drains my energy. Sheā€™s someone who loves to talk to anyone for hours on end everyday. Iā€™m someone who needs their alone time quite often, so I put myself first for a year by cutting contact with her. Sheā€™s also someone who gets offended if we donā€™t see her whenever it suits her. Iā€™ve been overwhelmed with mental health lately and just couldnā€™t deal with seeing her 24/7 or coming up with an excuse as to why I donā€™t want to see her as she REQUIRES one. Simply saying ā€œI donā€™t feel like seeing anyone right nowā€ is not good enough. I finally decided to see her and everyone else in my family for the first time in a year. I felt a bit offended that my aunt didnā€™t even bother speaking to me. Keep in mind thereā€™s no bad blood between us as she never stopped inviting me places the whole year I didnā€™t contact her. She asked about my work and then talked to someone else. AITA for expecting my aunt to talk to me at least about anything other than work since I didnā€™t speak to her for a year or is she the asshole for not bothering to even seem excited or want to see me?
