Reddit goes fucking crazy at any mention of being accused of rape, usually to the point of not considering the victims’ point of view whatsoever.

Sorry I misunderstood your first comment. You are right, I get really defensive over the topic because I see so much victim blaming, particularly on Reddit. I wish it wasn’t even a topic that needed to be discussed. I’m sorry you went through something so horrible.

I wasn’t saying enthusiastic consent is bad. I’m saying if someone is raped, it’s not their fault if they didn’t say GO GO GO. If someone has any sort of inclination the person isn’t ready to have sex, THAT should be enough for someone to say, “Are you sure you want to do this?” Of course GO language is important, but saying it’s more important than NO language, to me reads as “oh well she didn’t say NO so I obviously didn’t rape her”, like it’s the victims fault for not speaking up.
