Hello, Writing this as I’m currently all clogged up… anyways, as the title says, so far over the counter allergy meds have been a flop… I’ve tried Claritin, Flonase, the new Xyzal, Benedryl…. But at the most, they stop my sneezing for maybe like an hour (Claritin). At worst, they leave me with the same clogged headache and sick feeling (Xyzal) On a good/normal day, I just have one clogged nostril, on a bad day I get a random sneeze attack that leaves my nose raw and my ears aching (plus i still have the clogged nostril). Any suggestions as to what I should try next? I’m trying to avoid going to the Drs because my designated PA is a stuck up B-word that sits there and judges me for my entire visit. Last time I brought up my nasal issues her response was “well, have you tried Flonase?” and “So would you like a referral for that?” YES I WOULD LIKE A REFERRAL FOR MY CLOGGED NOSTRIL. I WOULDN’T BE TALKING ABOUT IT IF IT DIDN’T BOTHER ME. This PA made me feel like my problems were invalid and stupid. So I never went to go see an ENT and now my referral is expired. Any advice on what to do/try next is greatly needed and appreciated. It’s not even the start of spring allergy season where I live, and I’m dreading the idea of it as it nears closer. :(
