Wedding

The wedding took place in the sept at Longtable, near the middle of the afternoon. The bride wore a white gown and a black cloak emblazoned with the wyvern of House Vyrwel, and she was led to the top of the sept by her father, Lord Humfrey Vyrwel of Darkdell. Lord Wyman Merryweather and the septon were waiting for her, and when he led her to Wyman, Lord Humfrey removed the maiden's cloak from her shoulders, while Wyman replaced it with the bride's cloak emblazoned with the horn of plenty of House Merryweather. The couple exchanged their vows, ending with, "With this kiss I pledge my love," before kissing to mark the end of the ceremony, and the beginning of the wedding feat to be held in the Great Hall.

Feast

The Great Hall of Longtable was a large one, with more than enough room for the high and low tables, as well as a section of the hall set aside for dancing. The feast was made up of food grown in the Merryweathers' land, grains and meat as well as fish caught from the Mander, with the centerpiece on the high table being a large boar caught near the banks of the river. The food and wine both flowed free, making for a very festive atmosphere around the feast.
