How to both include 'Stroke' of a text and added '4-Layer Gradient' effect?

Hey guys, new to AE but not to the Suite. Trying to simply display both the text stroke AND a moving gradient inside of a text at the same time, but obviously the effect is going over the entire text, which colors the stroke itself. I've tried using the 'Stroke' effect and moving it before the gradient effect, but no luck. Can any AE wizards help me out with this? Have a good day ya'll
