Should I tell my new job I got fired from my current employer? Or just provide references from another job before this one?
Post Body

(25F) Earlier this week (while being home with sick with the virus) my best friend’s mother let me know that the position she was currently in was hiring. Since I was sick, i had alerted my boss at my current job that i had to quarantine until my symptoms went away. My current never responded to the messages about me being sick.

More info about new job:She(friend’s mom)was only meant to be in the role for a few months and heard that I was doing a role similar to Hers. She reached out to see if I would be interested in interviewing. I sent in my resume and proceeded with two rounds of interviews such I believe went very well.

Up until yesterday, I was still an employee with the agency that I mentioned in. The first paragraph but I received an email stating that I had be terminated due to poor performance. Prior to receiving the termination letter, my boss had never had a conversation with me about my performance, they never had meetings, they never clearly defined their expectations, nor did I receive training. Aside from the those thing, I would say the workplace itself was toxic. I tried to call my boss to speak with them and no one answered. Seems like I was sent to voicemail twice.

Now with the new possible job offer in hand. I am nervous that the termination will reflect bad on me. The new position will make sure that I am trained on the thIngs I am unfamiliar with, so I am very confident that I will do better. I just want to make sure I chose the right references so I canmove forward.
