Right now I currently work at a union job that makes $66k a year (base) but with OT you could be making max $160k a year. They offer a lot of benefits and 4 weeks pto. Pension, free insurance. The labor isn’t hard. It’s just boring and repetitive. All I do is stare at a line all day and make sure it’s running good.
I will be graduating next year with my bachelors in accounting but I plan on CPA. I know accountants make good money but is it that much of a difference from this union job? I just want a job that’s very high paying at the end and be happy with where I’m at. The union job is okay but it’ll take me about 10 years to be able to even on day shift. So I’ll be working nights for a very long time. And I’m not sure if this matters but I am currently 21 right now. Please state your opinions on this, thank you.
