I called in and requested my 2080ti be repaired as it's fans were failing. (Yes I know I can fix them myself but it's under warranty and the card was only like 10months old). I requested my card be repaired but I needed something to use in the meantime.
They sent me a 2080ti as an advance replacement and the emails said I can send in my card for repair, but on the rma number and paperwork I received, it said the one I received was a replacement and mine wouldn't be repaired.
I have not yet sent mine back as I have 14 days before I get charged. I called back in and they confirmed they misunderstood what I wanted and fucked up and now they can't do anything except escalate my case.
My issue is that my card, other than the fan issue, was a newer card. I have no idea what this refurb has been through and/or if it would fail sooner than mine.
Other than escalating and complaining, what can I do in this situation? I don't want to be charged for not sending mine in. I just wanted mine fixed. Do I just keep the refurb?
Thanks
