Here is yet another idea that came to me during the Halloween season. Slashers are a staple of the horror genre and while I wouldn't say any of my favorite horror movies are slashers, most of the recognizable horror icons are. I mean, when someone says the term "horror movie" you probably think of someone like Jason Vorhees right away. But slashers also have a reputation for being cliche, predictable, and poorly made (especially during the 80s and 90s). Thus came the rise of films like Scream that satirized the genre. And like a broken record cheap slashers but with humor became the new standard slasher. And again they became so oversaturated and poorly received that genuine horror slashers came back into popularity again recently. Where am I going with all this? Idk. I satirized slashers and I really love how it turned out. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!
